The Great British Summer

I have been missing from the blog scene for a day or two once again; my excuse this time is a genuine one – The Great British Summer has arrived, at last!
We have had several glorious days of hot, sticky summer sunshine

We have spent time at the allotment watching the produce growing, we have once again picked amble supplies to see us through the week. We have had the cycles, pushbikes, out again, this time visiting a local Water and Leisure Park, which was brilliant.

Pleasant evenings playing bowls and having a pint of beer afterwards with friends has been so much the better for the lovely weather.

We even had barbeque in the garden yesterday evening.

My back pains have withstood most of the minor physical activities they have had to endure over the last day or two, so life has been good.

The current sunny spell is due to break-up again tomorrow according to the analysts, oh well, it was good whilst it lasted.

ahh, summer...I'd join in with you in your ode to summer, but in texas summer is endless days of over 100 degrees..supposed to get up to 105 too..sigh* and july isn't even our hottest month..late aug and sept you dont touch any part of your car inside or out for fear of blisters and burns...
hope you get to feeling better..when my back was bothering me a few weeks ago, i used ice and heat and it really helped..

And last night we had thunder storms and plenty of rain, good for the allotment as it is sunny again today without the stickiness.
