No hospital visits for a while, I am hoping
Barring accidents and any changes in my current state of health I do not have to attend hospital until after the Christmas break. I am however due for Chemotherapy on December 30. The Chemo will be administered as for Pancreatic Cancer because the hospital still does not know what type of Cancer I have. I am chasing this line of enquiry with the hospital I first attended for Cancer back in 1992 as they are the ones who are apparently best able to ascertain what I have.
Had we got more than 10 days to go before Christmas day I would seriously be considering going through with the Pain Management Consultants offer of a procedure to kill some nerve endings using needles and pure alcohol to lessen the pains in my back.
Mentally I guess the pains do get to me at times although I think I am holding it together pretty well and if we don’t think too much about the eventual outcome we are able to enjoy the run up to Christmas and look forward to the day itself. I just hope that the day after doesn’t just become an anti-climax.
